Sports Day Update- Important Weather Notice

As we prepare for our upcoming Sports Day events, we want to update you on some important adaptations we are making in response to the extreme hot weather forecasted for this week.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children, we will be making the following changes:

  • Reduced activity time to avoid prolonged exposure to heat
  • Regular water breaks will be scheduled throughout the event
  • Use of shaded areas wherever possible for both activities and resting periods

Please note: if the temperature reaches 30C or above, Sports Day will need to be cancelled. This decision is based on our commitment to prioritising the health and safety of all our children. As weather forecasts can change, we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Any changes to plans will be communicated to parents as early as possible.

To help keep our children safe, we kindly ask that parents follow these guidelines:

  • Ensure your child arrives at school with a full water bottle
  • Apply long- lasting suncream before school
  • Send your child with a sun hat, and ensure they are wearing light, breathable clothing.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility and are looking forward to a fun and safe Sports Day! Thank you.
